Little Bare Feet
by Karen Noles
My young half Sioux model in this painting was adopted as a baby from a
very good friend of mine and raised in a loving home. She is wearing a
Plains beaded buckskin dress, possibly Crow, and is holding a beautiful old
museum quality Sioux doll that was restored and loaned to me by a friend.
The horse and rider pictographs painted on the teepee are also Sioux. Little
Bare Feet in the Native American culture means “innocence”...which, I felt
was a perfect title for this painting.
