A Feral Friend

This is one of my favorite models. Her father is Salish and Blackfeet....her mother is of White decent. The young fox kit held gently in her arms was bottle fed from a very early age by a friend of mine from the Swan Mountains who rescues and rehabilitates wild animals that had been injured or abandoned and then returns them to their wild native habitat. Painting and capturing the image and emotion of these kindred spirits in harmony with nature is an infinite and rewarding challenge.
